FTL freight transportation is one of the methods that is preferred by a
number of shippers in moving their respective cargo from one point to
another. This is due to its flexible nature and the associated affordability.
When comparing FTL freight transportation to LTL freight transportation, we
find that the two are quite different despite them performing truckload
shipping.
FTL freight transportation is considered to be more costly when compared
to LTL freight transportation. However, the benefits associated with it are
more as compared to the LTL. A good example is that there is no need of
sharing the space of the truck with other company since the truck is in a
position of moving to the required destinati on without the need of having
other stops. However, for the LTL, there is several unloading and reloading
of the shipments before reaching the intended destination. This is not a
secure method as the cargo is likely to get damaged more so if it chances
that it is fragile.
