As for Denis Cheryshev, his story so far has been quite different. Growing up in Spain at Sporting Gijon (where his father, Dmitri Cheryshev was playing at the time), he joined Real Madrid Castilla at a very young age. From that day onwards, he made it his goal to one day play for Real Madrid. So far, even with a few first-team appearances at the club, he still didn’t find the correct way to break through at the Spanish Club. The Russian midfielder has been able to show great potential with his speed and agility on the left wing as his experience simply makes him better as a player overall. The Real Madrid board clearly feel as though Denis Cheryshev will be able to one day be a part of the club but he isn’t ready yet as he spent last season on loan at Sevilla and now at Villarreal

Cheryshev needs the experience in Spain and therefore his loan spells at Sevilla and Villarreal will really help him get used to the way of La Liga. The Russian winger was able to get some good experience at Sevilla but his loan to Villarreal, in my opinion, will prove to be more beneficial since their way of playing will suit his style a lot more. He was part of the team who won the UEFA Europa League at Sevilla and that in itself will help his confidence and experience though he wasn’t part of the starting eleven in the squad. Now, at Villarreal, things should prove to be different as he will be fighting harder than he did before. At 23-years-old, he will want to end this his loans and be able to play at Real Madrid next season as he plays for the first team.

Both, Casemiro and Cheryshev, have been able to show great potential in their positions and their loans will help them improve. This is a crucial time for both players with Porto and Villarreal while they will need as many first-team opportunities to prove their worth. Real Madrid will be keeping a close eye on them throughout this season and will be deciding at the end of the year whether bringing them back to the club will prove to be beneficial or not. Some of the biggest names in world football have tried and failed at the club and that goes to show how difficult it is to be a part of such a big club. Casemiro and Cheryshev have an opportunity to try now and will want to be players who will be remembered for playing at the club in the future.
