This work was all accelerated in 1811, when Louis Legrand took
over the house and turned Oriza into one of the rare houses that
served the Courts of Russia, England, Italy and France. He produced
the most refined, most exquisite and the most complex products.
Legrand was a true fragrance artist. Of all the French perfume
makers, only Maison Oriza was chosen as the “Purveyor to the
Russian Court”. In recognition of this honor, the house developed
a line of fine and delicate fragrances. However, “Violettes du Czar”
stood out for its unmatched quality and became the favorite fragrance
of the European Courts.
Around that time, Baccarat was playing a decisive role in the art
of perfume bottle manufacturing. It was the first crystalworks house in
France that began manufacturing bottles, quickly becoming infamous
for its superb quality and relationships with the very best perfumeries.
Of course, Maison Oriza was one of these very best.

ise dönemin Fransız parfümcülerinin arasından sadece Maison Oriza “Rus Sarayı’nın Özel Tedarikçisi” unvanını alabiliyor. Elde ettiği
bu onurun üzerine Maison Oriza, Rus Sarayı için özel bir kozmetik
ve parfüm serisi üretiyor. Bu seriden “Çar’ın Mor Menekşeleri” ismi
verilen parfüm, benzersiz kalitesiyle Avrupa saraylarının en gözde kokusu haline geliyor.
Aynı dönemlerde kristalleriyle meşhur Baccarat, parfüm şişesi sanatında önemli bir rol oynadı. Fransa’da şişe imalatına başlayan ilk
kristalciydi ve sadece en iyi parfümcülerle çalışıyordu. Maison Oriza
da bu seçme parfümcülerden biri oldu.
