pink petals over the city. Even in this most urban place,
people still yearn for a connection with nature, thus this
natural event is celebrated until the last pink petal falls
to the ground. Although the petals may have fallen from
the trees, the Japanese keep the beauty of the cherry
blossoms alive throughout the year by adorning their
tables with pottery featuring the blossom, or through
wearing robes embroidered with the refreshing yukata
design, and through various other art forms that show
representations of the tree.
Another inspirational symbol that is repeated in
Japanese art is Mount Fuji, maybe one of the most
famous and most loved volcanos on earth. The best spot
to observe an enormous volcano such as Mt. Fugi is
away from the base of the mountain so that it can be
viewed with all its majesty. Thus we headed to Lake
Kawaguchiko and crossed our fingers for the clouds to
disperse enough for us to see the mountain. Even though
the smog did build a wall in front of the mountain, Fuji
didn’t disappoint us and peeked through the clouds
enough for us to see it, but only enough to fascinate us
with its magnificence and leave us wanting more.

Fuji Dağı. Devasa bir volkanı izlemenin en güzel yolu,
hiç şüphesiz eteklerinden biraz uzaklaşarak tüm heybetiyle görülebileceği bir nokta seçmek. Bunun için Lake
Kawaguchiko’ya yöneliyor ve puslu havanın dağılmasını umuyoruz. Bulutlar adeta dağın önüne bir set çekiyor
fakat Fuji Dağı, onların ardından bize kısa süreliğine bir
göz kırparak ihtişamıyla büyülemeyi ihmal etmiyor.
