film voted for by the Children as their
favourite themed movie, Cowgirls and
Boys also enjoyed joining in with some
line dancing—prompting an equally ac-
tive Line messaging session from the
parents! Thanks to SP for throwing
such a wild party!

#WEARESHREWSBURY
On the penultimate day of the Term,
students from Year 7 to Year 10, took
part in Shrewsbury’s annual Interna-
tional Day. The purpose of the event is
to help develop greater understanding
within our international community,
and by reflecting on our own experi-
ences and of those around us, as well
as the perceptions that people have
about our community from the out-
side, to become a positive influence
in shaping the kind of inclusive com-
munity that we are all proud to be part
of.
Assisted by their Sixth Form peers, this
year’s activities were led by 21 leaders
from Year 12, and centered on the
themes of Social Inclusion, Global Citi-
zenship, Community Building and Per-
sonal Awareness; each of the Leaders
having given up some of their own
weekend time to undertake workshop
management training with experts
from JUMP! Foundation.
Thanks to all of the Year 12 students
who helped to run the activities, and to
Ms McCormick who coordinated the
whole event.
