The world rewards action. Until you’ re in motion, nothing will change. Yes, another case of the obvious.

I’ ve lost track of how many people I’ ve met who still have their dreams, ideas, inventions, and solutions buried in their minds or stuck on a shelf in their home or office collecting dust. They are imprisoned in a mental room of their own design, with four walls they’ ve constructed that go by the names of procrastination, doubt, fear, and security.
How do I know this? I’ ve had to escape from this room myself, and I strive each day to rarely visit it or hang out there very long. In the short term, it’ s a very comfortable room, and that’ s the immense danger it possesses. In an instant world, success is rarely achieved quickly. Yes, there are shortcuts, but you still must put in the necessary work and refine your skills on a continuous basis.
Here’ s a powerful quote I heard many years ago at a live seminar that captured my mind and changed my destiny in relation to the power that momentum has on our lives:“ You don’ t have to get it right; you just have to get it going.”
I’ ll tell you upfront that this is simple yet powerful advice if you look beyond the initial perception that it encourages sloppy or harmful behavior. In my opinion, this quote encompasses three big concepts:
1. GET BUSY 2. GET YOUR PLAN, IDEA, OR GOALS INTO ACTION SOONER RATHER THAN LATER
3. GET MOMENTUM ON YOUR SIDE AND MAKE ADJUSTMENTS ALONG THE WAY
So, what’ s one of the smartest ways to use momentum in your life? Cultivate and build the habit of creating deadlines tied to the biggest goals within your life. The best way to do this is by setting daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly deadlines and working
