EMPLOYEES STEP UP FOR
A GOOD CAUSE
IT TAKES A VILLAGE
Our Charity of Choice for 2016-2018 is The Canadian
Legacy Project: the only Veteran’s Food Bank in
Canada. Proudly, we can say that employee donations,
Rogers’ matching program, and internal “Fun-Raising”
events have exceeded our expectations. Our team’s
fundraising efforts have been supported by generous
donations from Northbridge Insurance Brokerage
and Chubb Insurance, bringing our grand total thus
far to just over $25,000.
At Rogers, our ‘Village’ is often led
by our trusted Diversity Officer,
Lesley Kelly. Lesley has been an
integral part of the Rogers’ team
for the past seven years and
brings with her both a Canadian
and International background
in Hospitality, Health Care and
Education.
Lesley is the Committee Liaison
for several of our key planning
committees including: Rogers
Run for L’Arche, The Sinclair
Golf Tournament, Charity of
Choice, Rogers Wellness Team,
and more. She is also responsible
for developing a company-wide
Diversity Program, while retaining
a local focus for each of our nine
offices across Alberta and Ontario.
Her dedication to community
involvement, charity work, and
physical workplace enhancement
is helping Rogers achieve one of
our stated goals: to be the best
place to work in the insurance
industry.

FALL 2016
CHIPPING FOR CHARITY
The Jim Sinclair Insurance Industry
Charity Golf Tournament marked its 22nd
anniversary with tremendous support from
sponsors, volunteers, and participants. A
record-breaking $80,000 was raised for the
following non-profits: Women in Insurance
Cancer Crusade (WICC), Bow Valley College
– Insurance Scholarship Fund, Memory PLUS
– Alberta Health Services and The Alzheimer
Society – Dementia Care.
The Sinclair is Alberta’s only Insurance
Industry fundraising event of its kind and
takes place each June in Calgary, AB. Despite
the economic downturn, we had a great
turnout and support, making this one of
our most successful tournaments yet. A
big thank you to everyone that came out to
support the cause – We can’t wait to see what
next year has in store! For more details visit
