LAKEVIEW BANK SPOTLIGHT important business asset of Lakeview Bank, and meeting their expectations and financial needs drives everything Lakeview does as a bank. To that end, their mission statement includes consistent and constant improvement of financial products, services, and support that those customers need at a fair price. Any organization worth its salt is built upon core values that stand the test of time and location. For Lakeview, all staff members have a healthy understanding of the fundamental values that the bank was founded upon: integrity, honesty, respect, putting customer needs first, adhering to an atmosphere of comfort and hospitality, and professionalism. Another differentiator is in the services that the bank utilizes to conduct its own business efficiently. Banks, like every other business, need insurance. That said, their insurance needs often present unique challenges that aren’t present in many other situations. Insurance is often seen as a commodity, as is the case with banking. The difference, in both cases, is the people behind the companies that are providing the products. For their insurance needs, Lakeview Bank uses Nesbit Agencies. Tom Mork, president of the bank, knew Brian Lundquist before Lakeview even went into business. They met at the local Rotary Club in 1992 while Tom was working at a different bank. The relationship between Nesbit Agencies and Lakeview Bank mirrors the relationship between Tom and Brian. Brian makes the annual renewal process easy, responding to any questions Tom or the bank may have on a timely basis and offering sound suggestions for stronger risk mitigation when appropriate. All of the property, casualty, and general liability insurance that Lakeview carries is written through Brian. Owning the building that it operates out of makes risk management an essential aspect of doing business for Lakeview. Thus, for peace of mind in the event that something unfortunate may happen, it is essential that the bank carries adequate coverage in order to be able to quickly rebuild or repair. Additionally, when Lakeview acquired a number of foreclosed real estate properties following the economic issues in the mid- 2000s, Nesbit Agencies was able to insure those properties with Brian’s help. Lakeview Bank is locally owned and chartered in Lakeville, the only bank in town that can say that. They were honored with the Minnesota Business Ethics Award in 2008, showcasing their commitment to promoting and exemplifying ethical conduct. To that end, they are also committed to donating three percent of pretax income to charity in 2020. As part of that pledge, each employee is given $500 per year to donate to the charity of their choice and a full day off (with pay) to allow them to volunteer at a charitable organization of their choosing. + FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT LAKEVIEW BANK, YOU CAN VISIT THEM ONLINE AT LAKEVIEW-BANK.COM OR CALL 952-892-9700.
