Their motto: Do Your Job! Kobe came into the NBA as a 17-year-old. An early memory of mine is of him missing shots in a playoff game in the beginning of his career and his getting off the plane back in LA, only to go directly to the gym and taking 1,000 shots like the one he missed, committing to himself that it would never happen again. The rest is history. Excellence in athletics, and the work that goes into achieving excellence in that arena, have always been correlated with the rest of us and the goals we set to assure we are successful in our work and personal lives. I went to the dealership around 2 p.m. after making an appointment through the internet sales director. I knew the exact vehicle I wanted to purchase as I had done extensive research online. She put me together with a salesperson who took us on a test drive. By 3 p.m., I was off to the bank to get a certified check for the down payment, and by 5 p.m., I had signed all the paperwork, left my trade-in at the dealership, and drove off with a
