Known as the ASRS, the innovative structure is a cutting-edge solution to today’ s warehouse storage and transportation challenges. This allows Nestlé Purina’ s factory to retain its products in-house rather than transport them to other outside storage facilities. This reduces the company’ s greenhouse gases and logistics costs. Moreover, the ASRS significantly reduces loading times, improving productivity and operational efficiency. The ASRS implementation at Nestlé Purina represents a significant investment that transforms warehouse operations and fosters employment opportunity growth within the community. It is a forward-looking approach that embraces innovations and technologies while proactively driving change, solidifying Nestlé Purina as a 21st-century employer.
2024 Value Spotlight Award PRESENTED TO: ECONOMY COATING SYSTEMS
Arnold Holstein started Economy Construction in the early 1950s as a concrete / construction business. In the 1970s, Louis( Louie) Harmon( Gary’ s right-hand man) and Gary started doing epoxy linings. Gary started to buy the land where Economy Coating Systems is currently located as the business continued to grow. They did industrial painting and flooring as well as asbestos abatement jobs. Arnold Holstein retired in the late 1970s but enjoyed watching the business continue to grow once Gary was sole owner. In the 1980s, Economy Coating Systems was started. At this time, the warehouse industry and rail shop were in full force and continuing to grow. Gary’ s mission of the family owned and operated business was and continues to be keeping the local staff employed and happy. Brent continues to manage the business for his family, while Gary still owns the business and assists him when needed.
