Shopping
Talk about spending money. I spent the majority of it in the shops for small items. However, the shops had a surprising variety of things. You'd expect them to have the same items but the
didn't . Even if they had keychains or items with imprinted names they were different at each store, at least the ones I went inside.
The variety of items to buy will astound you, as will their prices, this is the main part that shocked me, only because I forget that I'm in a small town in the middle of nowhere basically. So the prices for a key chain were between $4.99 and $6.99 or more depending on the type of key chain and items with imprinted names ranged from $7.99 and up. I know that those are most likely the standard prices for these types of items for tourists, but I just forgot.
Although the prices were fairly high for someone like me, who didn't bring enough money, it was hard to not buy anything, the shops had so many different variety of products. I tried to include a lot of the pictures I took of items from the shops in the gallery above, so please take a look as the slide progresses.

The Views
Well, besides the bay there really isn't much to see except the boats and birds on the water. However, there is a viewing deck in the middle of Cannery Row where you can look through telescopes to
see farther away over the bay. And although I didn't get to go to Fisherman's Wharf, it looked like it had some nice views of the boats from where I passed by in the car. We spent all day on mostly one side of Cannery Row, so we really only saw views from the small beach and from the viewing platform.

The "Beach"
There's not much to say about the "beach", if you really want to call it that. There was a nice view once you stepped down into the sad but it's not really for
swimming, just mostly spending time with the family and getting cooled from the heat of walking. I also need to note that the pictures in the gallery below are taken by my younger cousin. I did not feel like taking of my shoes and socks to walk on the sand to the water, nor did i feel like walking on the sand in my shoes, so I asked him to take some photos since he's a pretty decent photographer. He did quite nice, so I'm going to include his photos.

Other Places
There's an aquarium, wharf and other things to do while in Monetery. The aquarium is right at the end of Cannery Row. We also wen to a nice thrif store nearby as well as a park not far from Fisherman's Wharf. And while the
kids and their parents wne to the park I stayed in the car to rest my aching feet and I saw a young girl in her upper teens riding a skateboard while texting. The sidewalk was on a hill so she only just stood on the skateboard. I thought, "Cool, a female skateboarder". Then I thought what if someone was walking up hill at that moment. And she never looked up from the time I saw her to the time she disappeared. Crazy right?! Anyway, visit Monterey next time you visit California.

Continued from previous page...
And finally I just wanted to ad that there were a lot of shops that had little snacks, like donuts, etc. Or even lighter foods. But there were a lot of places to eat with various types of foods.
