Day 1 Meet coach at chosen collection point and proceed to Dover Harbour; depart Dover for Dunkirk by ferry Arrive at the Albion Hotel, Ypres at 2.30 pm (CET) Orientation walk of Ypres Evening at your leisure Day 2 Meet in reception after breakfast for introduction to our guide Iain McHenry Coach departs for Mons tour to include visits to: Village of Casteau where the first shot was fired by British soldier Corporal Thomas Memorial to 4th Royal Dragoons and the first and last shots of WW1 by the BEF Nimy Railway Bridge where Lieutenant Maurice Dease and Private Sid Godley were the first British soldiers to receive the Victoria Cross in WW1 Local Memorial to executed civilians Packed lunch taken in Mons Memorial to the last British Empire soldier to be killed in action, Private George Lawrence Price St Symphorien Cemetery and Battle of Mons German Memorial Mons Communal Cemetery Day 3 Meet in reception after breakfast.
