Four-Day Trip to Mons and Ypres Salient Friday 25 - Monday 28 October 2013 Travel in an executive coach/minibus with collections from Milton Keynes & ashford in Kent making a leisurely channel crossing via ferry from Dover to Dunkirk. Modern and fully equipped, this family run hotel is centrally located and just a short stroll from the famous Menin Gate and the many restaurants of the Grot Markt. On tour days you will be accompanied by the highly respected specialist battlefield tour guide Iain McHenry. Iain has been involved with the Channel 4 Time Team specials including the excavation of the Vampir dugout and more recently in The Somme’s Secret Weapon - The Livens Large Gallery Flame Projector. Iain was the guide for last October’s popular WFA tour of the Ypres Salient. As well as a top class guide, a tour manager will be with your group at all times to take care of all your requirements. Tour day lunches are included in the price. In the evening you will have free time to explore Ypres and sample the town’s many restaurants for your evening meal.
