"I am woman, hear me roar. In numbers too big to ignore."

Welcome to the world of women. Where we have to work twice as hard to get half the recognition our counterparts have, where double standards are king and slut shaming are the order of the day. A world where, when we raise our voice and stand up for our beliefs, we're labeled as emotional and are often pitted against each other for the amusement of the opposite sex. Despite all this, we're strong, bold and unapologetic, nurturers to the seed of our womb and fierce protectors of our loved ones. We turn a house into a home without being bare feet in the kitchen, we're providers and an inspiration to those around us. We're art in motion and can bring a nation to its knees, if we dare. We're sisters, mothers and lovers, we're unlike any other. We can do anything and everything men can but they can never say the same. LUX South Africa is preaching just that to ladies by saying "WE ARE MORE". We are so much more than looks and outer appearances, we are a force to be reckoned with. Soul'Jah Kween take us through her journey of self-acceptance, Sean inspires us to return to our roots and Thabiso shows us the true definition of a #Bosslady. We have the lovely Bianca showing us how to transform into the "Wonder Woman" that we all are. and we have Barbie that joined the party to empower the young girls out there. I hope you enjoy this issue and do share your thoughts with me on social media.
