American breeder judges. We began
to discuss a celebration of the club's
25th anniversary and would call it
"The Silver Jubilee" - an international
affair whereby overseas visitors could
sign up for which section of the U.S.
they would like to visit. Maureen (Mo)
and Arnold Close and friend Moira
Clark wanted to see the Grand Ole
Opry and opted for Nashville, hence
Ravenrush. Warm,genuine Welsh
people and our fast and dear friends.
Through this chance meeting, we
were able to get one of Mo's carefully
planned litter. She had a daughter of
Ch. Salador Crystal Gayle and Eng.
Ch. Salador Crismark. This girl was
bred to Eng. Ch. Homerbrent Samson
and produced Montbarle Marie Louise,
who was bred to Eng. Ch. Salador
Corrigan to make our girl,
CKCSC,USA Ch. Montbarle Ceri
Mair of Ravenrush. Ceri went up to
Canada for a tryst with Can. Ch.
Salador Celtic Dirk. Dirk was out of
Corrigan's full sister, Eng. Ch. Salador
Colleen. This breeding was one of
many nicks that just couldn't seem to
go wrong and from it came our top
producing, National Specialty winning
CKCSC,USA Ch. Ravenrush Tartan,
probably the most positively
prepotent dog we will ever own. He
put his stamp on every puppy he ever
sired.

made up, she was the last surviving
one. We lost her in July at the age of
17 years, 8 months - truly the end of
an era for our kennel.

Funny how, in dogs, the most
serendipitous occasions can spawn
the most serious and lasting results.
During all of this, we were very busy
doing our bit for the club. Having
become close friends with Trudy and
Jay Albrecht, we spent many
weekends - happy times, indeed - at
Sutherland; truly the manor to
which we should have been borne.
We had done puppy referral for the
club for some time. I had served as
regional President and had been
