1. Don’t keep saying you want to do something; take steps to initiate it.
2. Only associate with positive people.
3. Stop buying unnecessary “stuff.” Spend money on essentials, and then save as much as possible.
~Can you share a client success story?
Rather than clients, I have readers. One shy, nervous young woman, who I’ve stayed in touch with, approached me after a reading and said that she’d written a story about the sexual abuse she suffered. She asked how to get it published. I invited her to a SLPA (St Louis Publishers Assoc.) meeting and also encouraged her to find a small writers group with trusted women. She hasn’t published, but she’s done a cathartic public reading (within a supportive writing group), and met positive people.
~What tip or piece of advice can you share with our reader today to empower them to SHINE?
Don’t be afraid to approach people who are
different from you. A pleasant greeting to the woman in line with you might lead to lunch, an invitation to join her interfaith discussion group, business network, a visit her Synagogue, Church or Mosque’s coming open house, etc.
~Any final thought, share, or idea that you would like to share with our readers today?
Be kind to people. It takes little effort and often produces amazing results.
