~What are 1-3 tips you would offer to help our readers step forward powerfully in their lives?
1. Discover what it is that brings you joy and follow that path. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know it when you find it.
2. Learn to embrace failure but pair it with persistence. Life creates walls for us to climb over as a test to see if we really want what is behind it bad enough.
3. Always be kind, authentic, and never shy away from showing others who you truly are. What good is a sun dial in the shade?
~What tip or piece of advice can you share with our readers to empower them?
I read a piece of advice from mythologist Joseph Campbell. I have followed this advice my entire life and it has never steered me wrong:
“When you follow your bliss, and by bliss I mean the deep sense of being in it, your great joy, and following whatever that pull of joy is out of your own life. You follow that and doors will open where you would not have thought and where there wouldn’t be a door for anybody else. Something about the integrity of a life that the world moves in on and helps. What brings you a feeling of great joy? Follow that.”
~Any final thought, share, or idea that you would like to share with our readers today?
Aetna Vespiri, the main hero of Siciliana, is the daughter of a revered Sicilian knight. As a child, Aetna is taught her most valuable lesson by her father. He tells her that a great knight is not defined by their sword. They are defined by their minds. Their wits. The strength of their ideas.
Thank you for your time in reading about my new novel, Siciliana. I hope you find the novel as intriguing and magical as it was for me to write it. Grazie and Cent’anni!
