2. Surround yourself with people who help you become the best version of yourself. After spending time with someone, you should feel better about who you are, not worse.
3. Choose those friendships wisely.
4. No matter your past & present, you are the creator of your future. Choose to create the life you want, no matter what has happened before. You are your own hero and you are capable of creating the life you want.
~ Can you share a client success story:
The following is a text received from a student (I have multiple messages like this):
“I just wanted to say thank you for everything. I should have sent this a long time ago. If you weren’t there to help me in the moments I needed it most, I honestly probably wouldn’t be here anymore. You always made me feel welcome and safe in your classroom when I normally don’t feel either at school. You helped me through things I never thought I would go through. You are one of the most kind and amazing people I know. If you were not there that time after school to take me home, I most likely would have ended it all that day. So, I just want to say thank you for saving my life and my family. You have made one of the biggest impacts on my life and I don’t know how to thank you for this. I just absolutely love you!
~ What tip or piece of advice can you share with our readers today to empower them to SHINE?
We all go through life with struggles. It’s part of the journey. The key to success is not giving up. Don’t measure your success to someone else’s. They are not on your path. Do your best, work hard, and continue to learn to do better. In so doing, you will shine brightly in your own right.

I am passionate about developing the next generation of leadership and want them to know that we all have lemons thrown at us on this life’s journey. Why let the lemons go to waste when you can create lemonade. It is in the lemonade that gives us hope and there is always something better on the other side as we push through our many challenges in life. Girl, you’ve got this!

You are born with infinite worth and I want you to own it, know it, and show it with every fiber of your being. You truly are the hero in your own story! Create the life you want and shine!

It’s time to become your own hero. It’s time to believe that you are enough. It’s time for parents and teens to come together on this journey of life, love, forgiveness, challenges, courage, and become heroes united in the cause that we are all worth it! Let’s change our world together.
