ACHIEVEMENTS
The department is headed by Woman Inspector #101 Rebekah Jones.
The Community Relations Department is the bridge between the police and the public. Over the past
few years it has made tremendous strides in its outreach to the public and in its growth, and continues
to embrace the mission of the RGPF’s Strategic Plan by developing and improving community
partnerships.
Essential to its success though is the relationship that it maintains with stakeholders the general
populace as well as its interdepartmental correlation within the Police Force.
PROMOTION
Mr. Michael FRANCOIS and Mr. Anthony DE GALE were promoted to the rank of Acting Assistant
Commissioners of Police. Their appointments took effect from January 26th, 2014, and are responsible
for Force Human Resource and Administration, respectively. The Commissioner of Police, Ranks and
File congratulate and wish them success in their new appointment.
The Mission and Goal of the Department outlined in the Strategic Plan offers a clear vision and path by
which it ought to move forward and develop. With this in mind, the Department refocused its lens over
the past six months has been actively pursuing its mandate with much vigor and enthusiasm. We are
cognizant that our success lies in our ability to overcome our challenges, human resource and
otherwise and even in the absence of a budgetary allocation. At the core is our thrust to build and
strengthen ties with the community and stakeholders, increase media relations and dissemination of
information, sustainable and measurable crime prevention initiatives, enhanced interdepartmental
relations and efficient handling of complaints against police officers.

CENTRAL DIVISION’S QUARTERLY CHURCH SERVICE
On Sunday 23rd March, 2014, the Central Division attended a Church Service at the Beaulieu R.C.
Church. They were graced with the presence of Acting Commissioner James and other members of the
Force Administration. The Service was followed by a Route March from the Church, and the eyes right
taken by the Commissioner and the Executive Team.
SGT. # 829 ALLAN JAMES ELECTED TO THE POST OF VICE
PRESIDENT GRENADA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
829 Sergeant Allan JAMES was enlisted in the Royal Grenada Police Force in
1992. He has been an avid supporter of the Royal Grenada Police Force Sports
Club and has been a driving force behind many successful Police Sporting
Activities during Police Week celebrations. Sergeant James is a passionate
football enthusiast and also coordinates some sporting disciplines within the
R.G.P.F.
He received two major awards from the Grenada Football Association at its
recently convened Awards Ceremony capturing the Volunteer of the Year and
President’s Award for Excellence.
The Acting Commissioner of Police, Officers and Ranks of the Royal Grenada
Police Force congratulates him on this victory.
CRIME PREVENTION TIPS – MOTOR VEHICLES

Always close the windows and sunroof, lock the doors and activate any security devices when leaving
your car unattended. Park with care, particularly at night or if you are leaving the vehicle for a long time.
If possible, park in a busy, well-lit area.
Never leave cash, credit cards, cheque books, mobile phones, vehicle documents or other valuables in the
car.
Never leave your keys in the car, even for a second; treat them as you would your cash and credit cards.
Make sure they are kept in a secure place at home and at work; burglars have been known to break into
houses and offices to steal car keys.
If you see anything unusual or suspicious, call the police immediately. In an emergency dial 911.
