Reynolds Travel had the honour of hosting two Travel Influencers from Panama. The goal was to showcase South Africa’s beauty, diverse cultures, dramatic landscapes and world-renowned wildlife among many things – overall South Africa’s astounding diversity.
Gaby Garrido and Patrick Vollert are both talented actors living in Panama. They to share our passion – travel. They describe themselves as two adventurers who have decided to conquer the world together. Gaby and Patrick established the blog – Nomada Tropical – on which they share their adventures, travel stories and our passion for photography.
We were approached by our colleagues at Viajes Humboldt Lufthansa City Center in Panama to assist with organizing an itinerary for Gaby and Patrick as South Africa was their next bucket list destination and Reynolds Travel was more than happy to assist.
We, at Reynolds Travel, have a deep love for South Africa and all it has to offer. It is truly a world in one. Having said this we knew we had to offer an incredible itinerary that would showcase why South African’s are so proud of our country. And so their South African adventure began…

Johannesburg is often overlooked as a tourist destination but the sights and activitiesin Joburg are some of the most vibrant and exciting in South Africa.
Upon arrival at the airport Gaby and Patrick were greeted by crowds of people all waiting to greet Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters,
as this was the first time she was home after being crowned. What a way to be welcomed and experience the true pride of South African’s.
Gaby and Patrick stayed at the luxurious Da Vinci Hotel and Suites. A short walk and they had access to the prestigious Sandton City Mall which links to Nelson Mandela Square.
New York has the Statue of Liberty, Egypt the Great Sphinx and Brazil the Christ the Redeemer statue. And Sandton, South Africa? We have a world-famous statue of the man who led our country to an equal rainbow nation, Nelson Mandela, situated in Nelson Mandela Square.
Gaby and Patrick experienced the best of Johannesburg. Exploring Constitution Hill a former prison, Newtown, The SAB World of Beer, The Apartheid Museum and Soweto and its surrounds were a few of the main highlights.
Gaby and Patrick’s next stop was Cape Town. Described as a coming-together of cultures, cuisines and landscapes, there's nowhere quite like Cape Town, a singularly beautiful city crowned by the magnificent Table Mountain National Park.
Gaby and Patrick stayed at the extraordinary new luxury hotel – The Silo. The Silo has been hailed as one of the best new luxury hotels in the world. They also stayed at the Portswood Hotel known for its historical luxury.
With so much to do in Cape Town it is extremely hard to see everything during one trip. Kyle from On The Go Tours was there to show Gaby and Patrick around Cape Town and the Garden Route. With Kyle’s local insight and passion Gaby and Patrick experienced the magnificent Table Mountain views, the charm of the African Penguins at Boulders Beach, the thrill of diving with Great White Sharks, the history and beauty of the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point and the vivacious V&A Waterfront.
