This is the month of several big things for Co Kane. With a new book store, a national release for ‘ExCommunication: Love Gone Wrong’, and a new home for Revues Galore review team, things are looking bright for independent authors. To begin, ‘Book Teas, located at 907A Gamble St, will grand open on October 15, 2016. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month so coupled with the grand opening of the store is the national release for ‘Ex-Communication: Love Gone Wrong’, a college domestic violence story. This book was written in dedication to two college students that were killed as a result of domestic violence. Book Teas official website will launch as well. This new store will cater to independent, urban authors of many genres including a full children's section to bring our children back to reading instead of fighting. We'll also initiate a Books & Boys program to introduce young boys ages 10-18 to reading comprehension and creative writing. The writing industry needs more male authors. On top of that, this store will ship to all jails, federal and state prisons. Customers will be able to order online or come into the store and place an order to be shipped. A final addition will be a new Book club that'll read and panel review books included in stock. "Sabrielle and ChaRhonda didn't know their first year in college would be their last. To finalize the store, we’ll also have a travelling stylist station for MUAs, hair dressers, and eyelash suppliers. This will be for those stylist who don't have a place to conduct business while in Tallahassee. This will garner more community awareness and bring about new customers that follow these stylists and artists. So far, the book store is being received well within the community. A grand opening block party is already in the works and the most anticipated event in the city of Tallahassee. Families are ready to bring their children to see what new books are being offered.
