ministry to 14-17s
summer at
nugen highlights
J
uly and August were eventful months
for us, hosting a number of activities for
our youth to build friendships and have
an enjoyable summer.
It began with launch of our Dance Programme,
creating a space for those interested and
passionate about dance to learn biblical truths
about dance and master their skills from well-
taught dancers.
We then kicked off our first showcase event
with three guest artists; Havilah, DVTN (Devotion
Music), Khafi Kareem and Shyan Smile who
graced our platform and blessed our youth with
their gifts. Three of our youth members also
showcased their talents; Hilina sang and played
the guitar, Betty sang a rendition of Hallelujah
by Leonard Cohen and Sia played the violin
to Adele’s Someone Like You. We are looking
forward to our next showcase in December in our
Christmas programme.
One Thursday in August a NuGen group went
to Thorpe Park on a beautiful sunny day and
enjoyed multiple rides whilst laughing and bracing
ourselves on the rides. This was followed on
Friday we enjoyed some tasty Nandos before
our competitive bowling session. The summer
activities culminated with an ‘All White Party’
with some delicious food, music and high energy
games that will be memorable for many.
