The exhibition is seen as a sum of independent islands with different ro-
oms which have almost total autonomy with respect to each other. They
end up, however, forming an archipelago in which diversity and different

The Palacio de la Casa de Las Dueñas is a set of buildings, courtyards and
gardens built between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries named after
the monastery Santa Maria de las Duenas, demolished in the nineteenth
century, located in the adjacent plot. It has belonged to the House of Al-
ba since 1612 and in it, the poet Antonio Machado was born, as recalled
in his book "Campos de Castilla (Castle Fields)". The tour can be made
from Monday to Sunday, which will have a limited capacity and children
under 14 can only rticipate if accompanied by an adult.

FLAMENCO
Cada día actúan artistas diferentes dentro del ciclo musical "Tardes de
flamenco". Lo más tradicional del baile, cante y guitarra a las 19:30h y a
las 21:00h. Abierto todos los días. El centro cultural flamenco "Casa de la
memoria" ofrece, además, diferentes actividades a lo largo del día que
ayudarán al visitante a comprender mejor este arte desde el origen, evo-
lución y tradición.

MUSEO BELLVER
En el Museo Bellver se exhibe la colección donada por el matrimonio Ma-
riano Bellver y Dolores Mejías a Sevilla. Está formada principalmente por
pinturas aunque también incluye esculturas, piezas de cerámica y porce-
lana, relojes y muebles. La colección pictórica es considerada la mayor
del costumbrismo sevillano, con obras de entre otros artistas Valeriano
Domínguez Bécquer, José García Ramos, Antonio Cabral Bejarano y Gon-
zalo Bilbao.
The Bellver Museum holds the exhibition of the collection donated by
Mariano Bellver and his wife Dolores Mejías to Seville. It is mainly made
up of paintings though it also includes sculptures, pottery and porcelain,
clocks and furniture. The paintings are considered to be the most impor-
tant works of Seville traditional art, with pieces by artists such as Vale-
riano Domínguez becquer, José García Ramos, Antonio Cabral Bejarano y
Gonzalo Bilbao

THE BEAT OF THE SEA
Después de la gran tormenta Magallanes encontró la calma en las profun-
didades del mar. Un lugar lleno de luz, color y movimiento donde las me-
dusas se mueven al compás del latir del corazón.
El Acuario de Sevilla presenta la exposición de medusas más íntima de los
últimos años. Una oportunidad de sumergirse en las profundidades del
océano y de contemplar muy de cerca a los animales más enigmáticos de
la naturaleza. La exposición acoge especies de todos los mares del mun-
do, desde las más conocidas como la Aurelia aurita (medusa común) has-
ta las más exóticas como la Cassiopeia
xamachana (medusa invertida). Más
de quince tanques que nos permitirán
observar a estos hipnóticos cnidarios
con todo lujo de detalle. La visita a la
exposición está incluida en el precio
de la entrada al Acuario.
After the great storm, Magellan
found the calm in the depths of the
ocean. A place full of light, color and
movement, where the jellyfish mo-
ving to the beat of the heart. Visitors
can see more than ten species of jelly-
fish in the Aquarium. In addition,
they can learn the secrets and characteristics of these curious animals
formed by 95% water, through educational posters. The exhibition hosts
species from all the seas of the world, from the best known like Aurelia
aurita (common jellyfish) to the most exotic such as the Cassiopeia xa-
machana (inverted jellyfish). More than fifteen tanks that will allow us
to observe these hypnotic jellyfish with great detail. Exhibition visit is
included in the price of the Aquarium entrance ticket.

CASA PALACIO DE LAS DUEÑAS
El Palacio de la Casa de Las Dueñas es un conjunto de edificios, patios y
jardines construidos entre los siglos XV y XVI que recibe su nombre del Mo-
nasterio Santa María de las Dueñas, derribado en el siglo XIX, situado en
el solar contiguo. Pertenece a la Casa de Alba desde el año 1612 y en él
nació el poeta Antonio Machado, como recuerda en su obra “Campos de
Castilla”. El recorrido se podrá realizar de lunes a domingo, contará con
un aforo limitado y los menores de 14 años sólo podrán acceder acompa-
ñados de un adulto.

Different artists perform everyday in the musical programme "Tardes de
flamenco". Traditional dance, singing and guitar playing at 19:30h and at
21:00h. Open everyday. The flamenco cultural centre "Casa de la memo-
ria" offers as well different activities throughout the day which will help
visitors understand this type of art from its beginnings, its evolution and
tradition.

El Museo Casa de la Ciencia de Sevilla es el único espacio de la capital an-
daluza que ofrece una programación dedicada a la divulgación del cono-
cimiento científico y medioambiental. Ubicado en el Pabellón de Perú,
edificio de 1929 patrimonio cultural de la UNESCO, cuenta con tres expo-
siciones permanentes: ‘La Mar de Cetáceos en Andalucía’, ‘Invertebrados
de Andalucía’ y ‘GEO Sevilla. Explora 540 millones de años’; además de
una exposición temporal que cambia anualmente.
También ofrece un Planetario, único en la ciudad, con proyecciones sobre Astro-
nomía para diferentes edades.
The Museo Casa de la Ciencia de Sevilla is the only place in the city which
offers a programme dedicated to the spread of scientific and environ-
mental knowledge. It is located in the Peru Pavilion, abuilding from the
1929 exhibition and cultural heritage of UNESCO. It has three permanent

inspirada y meditada se ha desarro-
llado, además de buena parte de sus
creaciones, la colección “Los 365
gestos de la Giralda”.
