Death penalty has always been controversial. Although more and more countries have abolished it, it is an important problem in others, where a lot of people die because of this.
It is known that supporting prisons financially is expensive, so death penalty would help the community to pay less. In addition, it will help to dissuade those who want to commit criminal acts.
On the other hand, we live in a world where there are “different shades of grey”, which means that we need to understand the context of a fact. Another point is that justice is not perfect, so death penalty can lead to the death of innocent people.
To sum up, only when we see in the news cases related to this do we realise the seriousness of the situation. In my opinion, death penalty should be abolished and governments should implement other measures to fight crime
