Reforms at the School
At the School of the Nations, reforms are carried out constantly to enhance teaching, both academic and physical, and affecting all ages. This includes new simple and interactive ways of teaching to new spaces for physical activity.
One of the major improvements was in relation to the soccer field, which received a new synthetic grass, new bleachers and new locker rooms for the athletes. For this to be accomplished, it took more than fifty workers. The synthetic grass has superior durability with safety. It allows the drainage of rainwater to use it for irrigation in the Mandala garden. Another area in the sports sector that received improvements was the court, which received a new floor made of polypropylene, which is resistant, more adherent, and leaves the water collected under it, avoiding possible "slides", to be later sucked into the corners of the block. Another advantage is the absorption built into it made with silicone holders. It absorbs 15% of the impact of athletes, putting less stress on their joints and at the same time, not significantly affecting the repulsion of the balls to impact it.
In addition to the sports area, other environments have also received environmental reforms, such as the Laboratory of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This reform represents 21st century teaching quality, featuring six new stations that easily accommodate five students, making the environment more spacious and now has more diverse experiences for students. Another improved environment was the Space Maker, which now has paintings on its walls representing different places in Brasilia. New organizer boxes and tables have also been added to provide more work space and to leave the environment more organized to save the different materials separately.
