al superar la presencia de las dos empresas de forma independiente, en cuanto a la experiencia histórica de la fusión se han identificado resultados positivos por un eficiente manejo estratégico de empresas integradas, se señaló posibles problemas como la monopolización y competencia desleal, finalmente se concluye que hay una deficiente administración y manejo de la industria petrolera ecuatoriana, duplicidad de las funciones de las dos empresas por una falta de visión integral común, por lo que se propone un modelo de una empresa pública que se constituiría como una multinacional, que rebase su papel de gestora de la industria petrolera nacional y se convierta en una corporación referente que promueva nuevos emprendimientos e innovaciones en la industria petrolera internacional.

Abstract In the present work a study was made of the possible merger between EP Petroecuador and Petroamazonas EP, in order to form a single international company with the characteristics of a multinational that can adequately compete with the large conglomerates in the management of this strategic sector. The merger is an entrepreneurial tool that allows a corporation to be strengthened in its management in an efficient way, starting with a comprehensive overview of the different players in the oil sector in order to determine a single company, its advantages and disadvantages by contrasting with a brief description Of the development of the Ecuadorian oil industry as well as the main state oil companies of the world, identifying its importance in the handling of the majority of oil and gas reserves at the global level.
