Seeing the sights in El Bonillo made me think of home and unfortunately , due to the pandemic , I won ’ t be able to spend the holidays with my family . But thankfully , I was able to bring the holidays to I . E . S . Las Sabinas ! In the U . S ., our holiday season begins with Thanksgiving , which occurs on the fourth Thursday of November . This year , I met with my colleagues during recess to share U . S . Thanksgiving traditions and teach them the history behind this unique holiday . We made a Thanksgiving tree to give thanks to the things and people we are grateful for .
As much as I would have loved to cook a whole Thanksgiving feast for my colleagues , it simply just wasn ’ t possible . Instead ,, they had a small , sweet taste of Thanksgiving and tried a traditional dessert called Apple Crisp . It ’ s very easy , delicious and requires very little cooking skills – try it for yourself and decide !
