You will shortly be receiving your payslip( and P60 if you are due to one) through the post and will see that it has been re-designed in the form of a combined letter and payslip. The purpose of this is to provide you with the information you need to know about your pension payment, who to contact if you have an Income Tax query and for you to use as proof of income should you require it. Each year, following the increase to your pension, some of our members request an official letter from us to show details of their new rate of pension. This is needed as proof of income and usually forwarded to organisations such as the Department of Work and Pensions( DWP) as a basic payslip is not sufficient for benefit assessments. The combined letter and payslip now acts as an official letter and includes all the information these organisations require.
We now ask that you keep your payslip safe in case you need to produce it as proof of income.
As always we are keen to know what you think to any changes we make and have included a section for you to let us know your thoughts in this issue’ s pension puzzler on page 19( click here).

END OF YEAR CERTIFICATE
Your Your P60, if you are due to one, for the tax year ending 5 th April 2013 will be sent to your home address, along with your payslip, before the end of April. Please do not destroy it. This is a very important document which you must keep in case you need to produce it later for any Income Tax queries or self-assessment. Should you lose your P60 we can provide you with a duplicate but there will be a charge of £ 5 per financial year requested. A duplicate P60 will only be issued once you have agreed in writing to have the cost deducted from your next pension payment.
