• Dr. Thomas Shane is well qualified and educated in his field of
study. With a Bachelor of Science degree from Emery College
followed by graduating at the head of his class at Washington
University of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Shane went on to complete
his residency program at the Bascom Palmer Eye institute in Miami,
Florida; which according the US News &World Report is the
Number #1 eye institute in the country. While Dr. Shane was
completing his residency requirements, he also received an award
for his outstanding research efforts; he received the Outstanding
Achievement in Resident Research Award from the Florida State
Society of Ophthalmology.
