The inaugural edition last year welcomed 161 international exhibitors and close to 3,000 regional trade buyers across the foodservice, hospitality, retail and wholesale sectors.

SOUTH-EAST Asia’ s leading trade shows for artisan, gourmet and fine food and drink return for the second edition in Singapore this July.
Organised by Montgomery Asia, Speciality & Fine Food Asia( SFFA) and Restaurant Pub & Bar( RPB) Asia are dedicated trade platforms that connect gourmet food producers and purveyors with decision makers in the retail and hospitality sectors, providing companies appropriate avenues to discover new trends, expand their business and reach the right buyers.
Speaking to Retail Asia, Christopher McCuin, managing director, Montgomery Asia, said:“ Aside from chef demos by best-in-class chefs in South-east Asia and beyond, we have also launched a new investor pitching series that aims to help up-and-coming entrepreneurs in the F & B space get the mentorship they need to take their business to the next level. We’ ve also included more panel sessions from industry experts, a new halal workshop and gourmet halal trail that will open up opportunities for all our exhibitors.”
This year, for the very first time, SFFA will be partnering with the Singapore Halal Culinary Federation( SHCF)— an independent federation with a mission to educate the culinary world on the dynamism of halal food, halal best practices, business profitability and service quality in
RPB Asia will be collaborating with The Bar Awards for the second year to launch the inaugural Best Bartender in Asia Awards, in addition to bar talks and guest bartender demos. the midst of a growing demand for halal food. With a stellar line-up of halal chef demos, workshops and panel discussions at SFFA, SHCF’ s partnership is set to draw restaurateurs, chefs, distributors and buyers from across the region, according to the organiser.
McCuin shared:“ Due to the growing demand for premium and gourmet halal food among both Muslims and non-Muslims alike, more F & B businesses are realising the importance of catering to this segment. Since 2011, SHCF has been advocating and educating businesses on service quality, best practices and halal standards across Singapore and are well placed to share best practices and address concerns on how to enter the market. We’ re excited to collaborate and provide a platform for them to share their extensive knowledge to business owners at SFFA who are keen to enter the burgeoning halal market.”
Raising the bar
As for RPB Asia, it will continue its official partnership with The Bar Awards for the second time running. Known for bringing people together to celebrate achievement and excellence within the bar community, The Bar Awards team will join forces with RPB Asia this year to bring an exciting array of activities including Bar Talks and Guest Bartender Demos.
This year will also see the launch of the inaugural Best Bartender in Asia Awards. The by-invitation-only bartending competition will pit the top bartenders in Asia in a series of challenges for the coveted title of Best Bartender.
With these new partnerships and an extended programme including fringe activities for trade visitors as well as members of the public, SFFA and RPB Asia promise to showcase a greater and more diverse range of chefs, bartenders, speciality food and drink products and technologies.
