the age of 10 and began attending the junior national show when it was held in Des Moines . He has high hopes as he continues to be a driving force in making decisions that will positively impact NALJA .
From Starbuck , Minn ., Wiley Fanta , son of Casey and Kelly Fanta , will be serving his fourth year on the NALJA Board of Directors . Wiley spends his days working at MC Marketing management while continuing to raise his own small registered herd , with the goal of raising highly sellable bulls and females that combine phenotypical excellence and numerical advantages . It is no secret that Wiley is passionate about beef genetics and wants to bring more awareness on how the Limousin breed can benefit seedstock operations . Fanta said that he is “ looking forward to serving on the NALJA board this coming year . In collaboration with my team , I plan to bring forth new and innovative ideas to promote and better our junior association .”
Serving her second year on the NALJA Board of Directors is Mikayla Askey , daughter of Robert and Angela Askey , from Queen Creek , Ariz . Mikayla stated “ I am honored to be serving as a director for my second year on the NALJA board . I look forward to further developing a network of opportunities with breeders and industry professionals that benefit the youth . My goal is to continue to promote the Limousin breed throughout Arizona as well as the United States .” Mikayla will be attending the University of Arizona in the fall as an Agriculture Technology Management and Education major .
The four new junior members that were elected to their first term on the Board of Directors include , Nikki Keeton , daughter of Lyle and Shana Keeton , Wolfforth , Texas ; Eliza Truel , daughter of Hal and Bridget Vogt , Skiatook , Okla .; Lily Mitchell daughter of Bart and Amy Mitchell , Bobscobel , Wisc .; and Ryleigh Morris , daughter of Dustin Morris , Ash Grove , Mo .
