House to Restaurant
There are many restaurants in Xizhou that people have made
into a restaurant after having lived in the space for many years.
An example of this is the Si Fang Jie Restaurant (四方街食点).
The owners said that his father had lived in the house for many
years, but as the flow of foot traffic increased around the area,
he decided he would turn it into a restaurant and earn a living
like that. This is the easiest way to make a restaurant because
there is already has a source of water and electricity. If this is
the method you choose, you can skip the parts about buying a
space.

Renting a Space
Many people in Xizhou rent the space that they use for a
restaurant. For a small two story space, the average price is
around ¥1000 per month. There are not many problems with
renting a space in Xizhou, as long as the payments are given on
time the owners are rarely seen.

Designs
Few lights are needed because many people have open spaces
so sunlight can get in and close before dark. As for wallpapers
or wall paint, solid colors can work just as well as a floral
wallpaper. Do not use wallpaper that is too dark because it will
not make good use of the natural light.
