A NEW MINING DISTRICT ?

Mining requests to do exploration have been shown in the past as a sign of predatory mining activities , without noting that only 1 % of the territory in Colombia has actual mining activities .
The most recent exclusion map comprises 21.1 million hectares .
In addtiton to this last cut , 66 million ha are excluded by natural and forest reserves corresponding to 76 % of the national territory left in uncertain conditions to perform exploration .
Colombia remains one of the districts with higher new mineral discovery probabilities in the world .
After announcing the new rally of exploration success in the Cauca Belt , and our expectations form some companies with prospective assets including Colombian Mines Corp . ( TSX-V : CMJ ), the company confirmed this thesis with positive new results at polymetallic high grade VMS El Dovio Project . Results from the first hole at the Sabana Blanca target included :
17 m @ 2.4 g / t Au ( 5.2 g / t Au Eq .) 2 m @ 29.5 g / t Au Eq .
Suggesting a very desirable configuration for a massive sulfide deposit with a fairly well 9-30 m mineralized stockwork in the same orogenic belt than El Roble deposit which has produced some 85Mlb Cu , could being defining the peak of a new district in an unexplored región .
According to the ANM reports , 90 % of these requests have been rejected .

The recurrent delays in defining mining available areas is very detrimental to the investment profile of Colombia and greatly benefit illegal mining .
