(01) This BGCM welcomes the EC decision to review all aspects of the operations of the GFTU and its finances and further welcomes the commitment to engaging affiliates in discussions about the shape of future services and cost effectiveness. (02) particular the BGCM believes that trade union education provision must In respond to strategic requirements to sustain our affiliates in difficult times and systematically assist them in building a new generation of trade union leaders. (03) This BGCM recognises that a range of learning methods will need to be deployed and renewed commitments to economic and political matters will need to underpin all elements of training.
