The start to 2023 has certainly been eventful . Many hours were dedicated to the planning of the annual conference and expo , and , by the time you read this , the conference would have taken place , where many amazing speakers presented great topics including post- Covid experiences , strategic planning , governance , dispute resolution and , of course , our migration towards a new digital engagement platform .
We also announced the awards for achievements in the shared prosperity programme with financial prizes provided by FNB . I thank all sponsors whose contributions make the conference costs to members affordable . Thanks go to Estate Living who produce the journal in partnership with ARC .

Since the 2022 journal was published , we have unpacked and presented many webinars on the Migration Act , and members have been busy preparing for this , in respect of our employees and how this act affects their employment in our estates . Most members have completed their compliance requirements in respect of the POPIA , and the RCC has commissioned a project to develop a code of conduct for the industry .
With the RCC and CAISA , we continue to engage with CSOS , with quarterly meetings taking place where we discuss important dispute resolution updates from CSOS and give all members the opportunity to inform us of any issues they may have so that we can share these with the CSOS team .
