RESEARCH FACILITIES
SPF Animal Facility
The SPF Animal Facility is located in Building 3, Level 8. It is home to more than 1,000 Wister rats and C57BL6N mice.
The procedure room (3-8-08) is equipped with a surgical microscope, a clean booth, rodent stereotaxic instrument and
animal holding rack. The three animal holding rooms are mice holding room (3-8-09), rat room 1 (3-8-10) and rat room 2
(3-8-11). Another part of the facility is the standby/quarantine room and cage washing room (3-8-12).

SPF Animal Behavioural System and
Analysis Software
The SPF has established a behaviour system to study
neuropsychiatric disorders, sexual dysfunction and sleep
disorders using rodent models. Behaviours of rodents
are analysed in the mice holding room in the SPF Animal
Facility.
