Marianne Davies
Marianne is a Senior Coach Developer at UK Coaching, bringing decades of experience and insight to the development of coaching practice across the UK. With a rich background in adventure sports, Marianne began her career as an outdoor instructor and coach before moving into strategic roles, including Coaching Workforce Manager for a National Governing Body home nation, where she led a delivery centre focused on coach education and development. Her academic journey has been interwoven with her professional practice since the mid-1990s, with published work that explores the complexities of skill acquisition in applied settings, particularly within adventure and equestrian sports. Marianne’ s Master of Research( MRes) investigated the influence of motivation, autonomy, and supportive learning environments on skill development. She is currently pursuing a PhD, examining the horse-rider dyad through the lens of ecological dynamics. Marianne is widely respected as a coach, coach educator, and coach developer. Her work bridges theory and practice, helping coaches create environments that foster deep learning and adaptability in dynamic sporting contexts.

Will Roberts
Will is an experienced coach and coach educator and has worked with applied practitioners and coaches extensively in the UK. This includes with organisations and coaches such as the Premier League, Sport England, UK Coaching, Southampton Football Club, Manchester United Football Club, England and Wales Cricket Board, Sport Waikato, New Zealand Golf, and Waikato Chiefs, amongst others. Will’ s work primarily focuses on supporting coaches and coach educators to develop coherent pedagogical frameworks to support the development of athletes and participants.
