victims of slavery and it is clear that a monument to the memory of the victims of slavery should also be appropriate in Spain . It seems that neither the Socialist Party governments nor the Popular Party governments have found the time , as I have said , despite having a mandate from the Commission of the Congress of Deputies twelve years ago , because this initiative has not yet been carried out ”.
This text belongs to the Proposal of Non-binding Resolution presented by the parliamentary group Unidas Podemos in 2022 and approved in the Territorial Policy Commission . The PNL recounts Spain ’ s participation in the slave trade in its different eras , putting in place reparation measures focused on the creation of commemorations and memorials . This PNL is partially inspired by the 2010 PNL and , to date , has not been developed through binding legislation or granted a budget .
