What is a Transient Ischemic Attack

There is a temporary blockage of blood flow. With a TIA, the blood clot either dissolves or moves on its own. Symptoms usually go away in minutes and do not cause permanent damage. Use B. E. F. A. S. T to help recognize signs of a TIA.
It is a warning sign that a stroke could happen soon and is sometimes called a mini-stroke.
