What is a Hemorrhagic Stroke

There are three different types of hemorrhagic strokes.
All hemorrhagic strokes involve bleeding somewhere in the brain.
Intracerebral Hemorrhage( ICH)
Arteries in the brain burst open and leak into the tissue. Usually, it is due to high blood pressure, which hardens arteries.
Subarachnoid Hemorrhage( SAH)
An artery outside the brain ruptures, and blood leaks between the brain and the skull. This is usually due to an aneurysm when a weakened area in an artery can bulge. A sudden headache without any reason can be a sign of this.
Intraventricular Hemorrhage( IVH)
There is bleeding into or around the ventricles in the brain. Ventricles of the brain hold a fluid known as cerebrospinal fluid. Cerebrospinal fluid helps cushion the brain and spinal fluid.
