Cardiovascular imaging plays a crucial role in the diagnosis , treatment and management of cardiovascular conditions . Renown Health is at the forefront of cardiac imaging - our Cardiovascular Imaging Program offers comprehensive diagnostic imaging services including echocardiography ( echo ), nuclear imaging , computerized tomography ( CT ) coronary angiogram and vascular ultrasound .

Echo
Accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission ( IAC ) for Adult Echocardiography , Renown offers a range of cutting-edge echocardiography procedures including transthoracic echocardiograms ( TTE ), transesophageal echocardiograms ( TEE ) and stress echocardiograms . In October 2022 , we expanded services to include outpatient echocardiograms at the Renown Imaging location at Double R , enabling better service and more access for our patients .
The Cardiovascular Imaging program is dedicated to implementing the latest imaging technology to deliver the best care to our patients . With our advanced ultrasound systems , we have the ability to perform 3D analysis for valve assessment during TEE procedures . Additionally , in 2022 we added strain imaging to our TTE outpatient exams at Renown Regional .
Nuclear Imaging
Renown is the only cardiac PET provider in the region . We acquire cardiac PET scans and cardiac PET with functional flow reserve ( FFR ) scans to determine the best treatment course for our patients . Our program offers multi-gated cardiac acquisition scans ( MUGA ) to assess and quantify the left ventricular ejection fraction ( LVEF ). We also offer myocardial perfusion imaging with SPECT Imaging system , which allows for accelerated imaging of blood flow to the heart muscle .
Coronary Angiography ( CCTA )
Our program specializes in CCTA exams , diagnostic tests that generate detailed 3D images of the heart ’ s arteries in order to identify abnormalities in blood flow and detect coronary artery disease ( CAD ). CCTA is non-invasive , quick and precise , with accuracy rates as high as 95 %.

Our skilled team of registered vascular technologists ( RVTs ) specialize in performing ultrasounds of the veins and arteries in the body , including transcranial , abdominal , upper and lower extremities . Each exam type aims to address specific diagnostic questions , such as ruling out blood clots , assessing plaque buildup and narrowing and identifying the source of emboli . During vein ablation procedures , our RVTs provide real-time imaging guidance , assisting in gaining access and verifying catheter location .
