• Nurse Apprenticeship Program : A program that hires nursing students as paid apprentices to further their preparation to become a nurse .
• Nurse Residency Program : A program rooted in evidence-based practice and tailored for the newly graduated nurse to assist in their first-year transition as a novice nurse .
• Preceptor Training : Training for nurses who will be preceptors and assist new nurses in their orientation .
• Charge Nurse Training : Training for the role of the charge nurse who coordinates the care and operations of a nursing unit over the course of a shift .
• Mentorship Program ( new in 2024 ): A program designed to train nurses to be mentors and then pair them with nurses needing a mentor .
• Ongoing Professional Development : Annual skills and content education to expand on current knowledge . Includes simulation and focuses on quality and safety initiatives .
• Nursing Excellence Conference : Renown Health hosts an annual nursing conference where nurses from various specialties come together to promote professional development in the profession of nursing .
• CEU Courses : The Clinical Education department hosts a variety of CEU offerings to promote individualized learning as well as fulfill nursing licensure requirements .
• Critical Care Fellowship Program : A program designed to transition nurses seeking to become critical care nurses .
• CNA Apprentice Program : A partnership between Truckee Meadows Community College and Renown to offer a paid internship for CNAs-in-training with employment following completion of the program .
• Surgical Technician Program : A program for surgical technologists to complement their school training .
• Surgical University : A training program for nurses learning to become operating room nurses .
