PRIORITY 3: ECONOMIC STABILITY
Economic stability is a key driver of health and well-being. The 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment identified rising costs, housing affordability, food insecurity, transportation and healthcare costs as significant concerns, particularly for populations experiencing greater barriers. Renown Health will work with community partners to strengthen economic stability and address conditions that influence health.
GOAL:
By 2029, reduce financial barriers to health by decreasing the percentage of adults unable to afford medical care and improving access to food and transportation resources through strategic partnerships, community investment, and funding support for social service programs.
KEY STRATEGIES:
• STRATEGY 3.1: Reduce Food Insecurity o Connect individuals and families to nutritious food through food assistance, produce prescription programs and other food access programs.
• STRATEGY 3.2: Address Transportation Barriers o Help people get to healthcare, work, healthy food and other essential services when transportation is a barrier.
• STRATEGY 3.3: Strengthen Community Supports and Safety-Net Services o Expand direct assistance, peer support and safety-net services that help vulnerable and underserved populations meet essential needs.
