Renown Regional Tahoe Tower Build Out & Renovation
When the 10-story Tahoe Tower was built in 2007, the 5th and 9th Floors were left as shells for Renown to build out in the future as our community grew and needs were identified. These floors are being transformed into a brand new PICU / NICU on Tahoe 5 and a new surgical trauma ICU on Tahoe 9. • New surgical trauma intensive care unit ( ICU ), increasing capacity to 34 private patient rooms • New NICU and PICU on Tahoe 5 • New respite room for our healthcare teams • Upgraded technology / infrastructure to improve collaboration between caregivers and family members in the new improvements on T5 and T9 • Improvement in lighting , with dimmable and LED options for patient room areas on T5 and T9 • New Central Utility Plant ( CUP ) will house Renown Regional ’ s boilers and electrical distribution as well as backup power systems for the hospital • Regional Tahoe Tower Patient Room Regional Central Utility Plant
