Individual Safety Expectations The success of any safety program depends on each individual demonstrating a positive attitude toward safety, personal accountability, and a commitment to injury and illness prevention. Every contractor is responsible for working safely and contributing to a culture that protects patients, employees, contractors, visitors, property, and the environment. Contractors must work safely, use required PPE and equipment properly, report injuries, incidents, hazards, and environmental concerns promptly, and take action to address unsafe conditions when it is safe to do so.
Contractors are expected to follow all applicable safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements; participate in safety meetings, training, and investigations; maintain clean and organized work areas; and ensure they are properly trained and qualified before performing work. Contractors also have the authority and responsibility to stop work whenever an imminent danger or uncontrolled hazard exists until the situation has been evaluated and corrected.
Safety Infringement Policy Working safely is a condition of employment. Contractors who willfully violate Renown rules and / or act in an unsafe manner will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, which may include dismissal at the discretion of Renown.
