A warm, welcoming dopamine rush. That is what Ashley hopes visitors feel when they step inside Redecor + Design in Sechelt. Styled vignettes encourage them to imagine the pieces in their own homes and enjoy the thrill of treasure hunting.
FOUND BY CHANCE
Ashley discovered the shop while sourcing for an interior design client, shortly after moving to the Sunshine Coast. Diane, its owner, was ready to sell after ten years, and they connected over sustainable living, repurposing, antiques and vintage. Ashley purchased the store in 2019, combining her Fine Arts and Interior Design backgrounds to create a space that feels thoughtfully curated and comfortably familiar.

Every item must earn its place. Ashley looks for quality, charm, beauty and practicality, while considering the season and the needs of locals, tourists and cottage owners. Art is central to the mix. The store carries a large, ever-changing inventory of affordable art, making it easier to choose a piece because it speaks to you, not simply because it matches a room. Vintage baskets, smallscale furniture, smart storage pieces, pottery, coastal finds and locally made goods round out the collection.
