Ecobuild preview Hot shots Planning ahead Specflue will be launching a next generation of heating interface units (HIU) at Ecobuild 2015. Manufactured by Thermal Integration and distributed by Specflue, the new HIUs have been designed for better performance and ease of use, while delivering all the same benefits of the traditional heating interface unit. Built using new technology in embedded electronics, full features will be revealed at the show, where visitors will also have the opportunity to preview one of the new units. The units include a range of digital functions for improved control of hot water and central heating in properties connected to a communal heating system using a central boiler. The new tools will enable greater efficiency and management of a unit’s functions, such as temperature, pressure and flow rates. SunEdison will be telling show visitors about its Energy Saver Plan, which offers PV customers the opportunity to save up to 15 percent on annual energy bills for no upfront payment. SunEdison’s Energy Saver Plan contract includes full maintenance, repair, monitoring, insurance and a production guarantee for 20 years on PV systems installed under the plan. David Lawrence, field marketing manager, said: “The Energy Saver Plan will allow you to generate your own clean energy with a low quarterly bill and no upfront investment. You’ll benefit from the electricity the system generates at a superb price thanks for the Feed-in Tariff and Export incentives. “We develop, finance, operate and monitor solar energy solutions worldwide, ranging from some of the world’s largest solar deployments through to our small commercial and residential customers.” S6130 As well as the opportunity to talk to representatives from Thermal Integration, installers and specifiers visiting stand N6140 will also be able to chat to the technical team behind Specflue’s renewable heating range, which includes thermal stores, solar panels and pellet stoves, boilers and cookers. N6140 Top performance 4eco is launching its data monitoring add-on for the immerSUN at Ecobuild. Available from April, myimmerSUN will allow users of the microgen diversion technology to track and download live and historic energy usage data – at the touch of a button. A plug and play hardware update, the system is designed to work in harmony with 4eco’s second generation immerSUN, monitoring real-time data and enabling statistics to be viewed on a smartphone or desktop via a dedicated website. From import and export figures to self-consumption rates and financial savings, myimmerSUN provides a way for users to track their microgen performance. All second generation immerSUN controllers have a built-in wireless interface as standard. This allows connectivity with both a wireless sensor device and an Ethernet bridge device, the latter being part of the new remote monitoring system. All users need to do is press a button to pair the devices, before following on- screen instructions to enable full remote connectivity.
