There are plenty of ways to get in and out of the Conway area

In the summer of 2022 , officials at Myrtle Beach International Airport discussed the nearly $ 100 million expansion plans for the airport .
Although air travel is available for Conway ’ s visitors , most people travel to and around the river city in automobiles .
Cultra Road completes a semicircle around the city , with easy access from U . S . 378 to U . S . 501 and U . S . 701 North .
From there , motorists can pick up Country Club Drive , East Country Club Drive and S . C . 905 .
Currently , the S . C . Department of Transportation is preparing for the construction of Perimeter Road , which will connect U . S . 378 to U . S . 701 South with a four-lane road , but that won ’ t be ready for several years . A recent , huge resurfacing project has also made traveling on Cultra Road a much more pleasant trip .
Mill Pond Road extends from U . S . 378 to Main Street ( U . S . 701 North ). The major artery coming into Conway continues to be U . S . 501 . Other important roads are U . S . 378 , U . S . 701 , S . C . 90 , U . S . 17 , S . C . 22 , S . C . 31 , and International Drive . Access to Interstate 95 is located less than an hour away .
Aviation is a major component of getting to and from Conway ,
and the surrounding areas .
The Myrtle Beach International Airport , the nearest commercial airport facility , is approximately 10 miles from Conway , making the area an easy destination point for air traffic . In the coming years , travelers coming into MYR will see improvements such as new double-decker gates with outside seating , more parking and ticket counters , additional jet fuel tanks , a rental car canopy and a new TSA checkpoint .
The overall cost of the expansion is nearly $ 100 million .
MYR has more nonstop markets served than any other airport in the state .
The Conway-Horry County Airport , located west of Conway on U . S . 378 , is accessible to private pilots .
Historically , travel by rail was a major mode of transport in this area , but now the nearest points of departure for AMTRAK travelers are approximately 45 to 55 miles away in Dillon , Kingstree , or Florence . Coast RTA provides bus service to many parts of Horry County as well .
