Making The IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE BY KIM LANGEN O n January 25, 2018, Rachel Bronson, PhD, the President and CEO of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, announced, “As of today, we are two minutes to midnight.” The Doomsday Clock had moved 30 seconds closer towards doomsday from the year before. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists was formed in 1945 by the Manhattan Project scientists after the creation of nuclear weapons and the annihilation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The decision to move the time forward in early 2018 was based on two questions: “Is the future of civilization safer or at greater risk than it was last year?” and “Is the future of civilization safer or at greater risk compared to the last seven decades of this bulletin?” The concern is that humans are making decisions and creating new technology that are appearing to bring the world closer to—not further away from—a doomsday scenario, thus creating problems that are bigger and more complex than ever imagined. To solve these problems, our world must develop highly capable, wise, and compassionate future leaders who are mentored today by insightful people with the ability to create new paradigms of possibilities. Transforming the unbelievable, or creating new paradigms, takes courageous people with strong beliefs. These people may have achieved success in their own fields that is unparalleled by others, bringing the once-thought “impossible” into reality, which, most importantly, has enabled the world to realize a higher standard. Others have created programs that have taken children, youth, and adults to the top of the world by providing them with skills, knowledge, and thinking to reach new capabilities. Both groups of people have changed our belief of what is possible. They are releasing the genius in our world. THIS GLOBAL MAGAZINE HERALDS THE BEGINNING OF A MOVEMENT TO BRING TOGETHER A COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE CHANGING THE WORLD BY EMPOWERING OTHERS TO BELIEVE AND ACHIEVE NEW LEVELS OF POSSIBILITIES. The insight from Angela Duckworth and the work of the Amarok Society, founded by Dr. Tanyss Munro and her family, are
