Fast, furious, fearless—Indian Relay Racing will be held in Gillette, Wyoming Memorial Day weekend, May 26&27th, for the first

time in relay history. HNIRC and Cloud Peak Energy Resources will bring the Tour of Champions Season Opener 2018 to the
Morningside Park 2:00 PM both days. You will see some of the most spectacular riding, exchanges, and horses; rivalry
among teams, agony of defeat, and the glory of winning. Walk through vendor booths, listen to the sound of drums and let it
take you on the journey of the relay racer. Watch youth competing for the very first time in the youth relay races as they feel the
excitement of the race as they race their ponies around the arena.
Ashley Dillard, Marketing Director for the Cam-plex says, “I was more than thrilled when the Indian Relay Race Council was inter-
ested in having their event in Gillette. CAM-PLEX is always looking to host events that bring the community out for an experience
and that is what the Indian Relay Races are! Once we met with the council, it was evident this event was a perfect fit for both of
us and we are so excited to kick off their season on Memorial Day weekend!”
Wyoming Horse Racing will be returning to Morningside park 2-weeks after our relay season opener with nine days of Live Horse
Racing during its Energy Downs race Meet in Gillette on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays from June 8th through June 24.th “To me,
the Indian Relay Races at the Cam-plex’s Morningside Park is a perfect fit. The facility was built for Horse Racing and Gillette will
see the great economic benefit when the Racing Teams hit town. Every horse is a magnet for people that care for them and the
